This policy explains how cancellation and refunds work for CodeDAG subscriptions sold by Zillion AI LLC ("Zillion AI", "we", "us"). It's part of our Terms of Service.
The short version
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. We refund duplicate charges, charges caused by a billing error, and payments the law requires us to refund. You can cancel at any time: cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Three different situations
- Cancelling future renewals stops the next charge. It doesn't refund the period you've already paid for.
- Refunding a payment returns money to your payment method. It applies only in the cases listed under When we refund.
- Restoring credits puts credits back on your account when a problem on CodeDAG's side kept a workflow from running properly. It corrects your credits; it isn't a refund of money.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page of the web console (app.codedag.com), which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then your subscription stays active, your credits remain usable, and you can restore the subscription. Nothing is charged after it ends.
If you cancel a yearly subscription partway through the year, it stays active until the end of the paid year and keeps granting credits each month until then. We don't refund the remaining months on a pro-rata basis.
When we refund
We refund a payment, in whole or in part, in these cases:
- Duplicate charges: you were charged more than once for the same subscription period.
- Billing errors: a fault in our billing system charged you when it shouldn't have, or charged the wrong amount, for example a renewal charged after your cancellation had taken effect.
- When the law requires it: if the consumer protection law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund, we'll honor it. This policy doesn't limit those rights.
Outside these cases we don't refund payments, including for unused credits or the unused part of a billing period. Refunds are made through Stripe to the original payment method. How long the money takes to reach you depends on Stripe and your bank.
Credits used by workflows
Credits are deducted when a workflow starts, 1 credit per task. Once deducted, they aren't returned automatically, whether a task fails, you cancel the workflow, or the result isn't what you wanted. Tasks run on your computer with your own agents, so a task failing there isn't in itself a billing error and doesn't lead to an automatic refund or credit restoration.
If you believe a problem on CodeDAG's side kept a workflow from running properly, or that credits were deducted incorrectly, write to us. If we confirm the problem, we'll restore the affected credits to your account manually.
Free credits are granted at no charge and can't be exchanged for money.
How to ask
Write to hi@codedag.com and include:
- the email address of your CodeDAG account;
- the charge in question: its date and amount, and the Stripe receipt or invoice if you have it;
- what happened. For a credit issue, also include the workflow's name, when it started, and the output of
cdg dag statusfor it.
We'll reply within 5 business days. This is the time for our reply, not a deadline for a refund to arrive or for the problem to be resolved.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. A refund request is handled under the version that was in effect when you were charged.
